Looks great! Which app are you using? I just started using Manga Studio 5. Complete rewrite from version 4 and more like Photoshop and Painter. Still getting used to it, but so far it looks like it's going to be much better than previous version.

Hi Kevin!Happy you like it, I'm using Manga Studio 4 Ex. I'm told 5 is great especially for the color part (4 for color was not pro level).

5 is also slightly better for inks because of some anti-aliasing it does now. Less "jaggies" to the ink when you zoom in. But for your work I'm certain 4ex is plenty good. The layout of it is what might help you more. I suggest when they have a trial you give it a try. $ex you need that book but 5 will be a lot more intuitive.

Oh, also 5's pencils are on par with sketchbook pro. It's coloring is on par with photoshop and sai and painter... and it made the inks smoother. But I wouldn't recommend paying for it as you're doing wonderful with 4ex.

have you played with the perspective rulers? I think that's where you'll truly fall in love with MS4EX.

I'm told % it's better, but I just got the 4EX and I think I can start with it and get the 5 in the future. Never tried the perspective rulers yet!

yeah, only thing to keep in mind is what you create in 4 (as of now but perhaps 5ex it might?) won't work in 5...

TRY THOSE PERSPECTIVE RULERS!!!!!! You will fall in love with that program all over again. ;)

Looking good, Simone! I completely understand the need to speed up the process, and the saving on ink is a good thing too. I hope this shift turns for the best for you, and more work on your lap ;)

Quite convincing!
There are a few areas where I can still tell it's digital, mainly from the edges ( background, and some feathering), but overall really nice!
I still favor real ink over digital any day, but if you're taking the move for practical reasons, I guess you're very close to a result that is satisfactory for you.

I personnally find that doing crisp linework takes more time digitally than traditionnally, but for colors it's a huge time saver. It's also very convenient for breakdowns and rough compositions. One thing that irks m with the clean linework stage on the computer is the micro-lagging you get when you want to do quick or large strokes. Even with a powerful computer like the one I have at work.
